Golden Globes 2014 – Top 10 Picks

Award season is here, award season is here!

I had an absolute blast watching the 2014 Golden Globes last night – did you? The show was funny and memorable, especially with the amazing Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as hosts. In addition (and quite frankly, the #1 reason I watch these shows) there was some amazing fashion to be gawking and drooling over. I’ve complied a list of my Top 10 looks from the show last night, something I like to do after my favorite award shows. Once I looked through all of my picks at once, I noticed I definitely have a “style” of gown I am attracted to these days. I wonder if my upcoming Bridal Gown shopping will reflect this same style? … Only time will tell!

Check out my Top Picks from last night’s show below:

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen, Brian Atwood & Lorraine Schwartz

Sofia looked radiant in this full black gown and statement turquoise necklace.

Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive, Jimmy Choo & Chopard

Cate looked clean and classic in this black lace Armani gown, which I actually thought was Marchesa when I originally saw it. Gorgeous!

Olivia Wilde in Gucci & Emm Kuo

I can only hope to be this beautiful and radiant when I finally decide to bare children of my own. Olivia looks simply glowing and healthy in this sparkling mermaid-hued Gucci gown.

Mila Kunis in Gucci & Marina B

Mila in Silver – you just can’t go wrong! I love the fluidity of this gown, paired with the metallic halter neckline and belt.

Sarah Paulson in Marchesa, Christian Louboutin & Irene Neuwirth

I loved Sarah’s look last night – unique and trendy, but not over the top. I love how soft this Marchesa gown is – it looks like an airy cloud!

Margot Robbie in Gucci & Christian Louboutin

I was previously unfamiliar with Margot until last night’s show (I have yet to see Wolf of Wall Street – I know, I know!), but I was enamored with this gown as soon as I saw it. Clean lines, a beautiful neckline, and it fit to perfection.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Roberto Cavalli, Brian Atwood & Irene Neuwirth

Mrs. Channing Tatum looked amazing last night. I loved this unique and flattering gown, and the Gatsby-esque feel it radiated.

Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad, Edie Parker, Lorraine Schwartz & Chopard

Kate apparently had some sort of zipper issue with this gown, but wowza! I bet she’s glad they got it all straightened out. This Murad gown is simply a show-stopper.

Maria Menounos in BCBG Max Azria, LoveGold, Jerome C. Rousseau, Jennifer Fisher & Emm Kuo

I know not everyone is in agreement on this gown. However, I adore it. The cutouts are shapely and sexy without being raunchy, the color is extremely flattering, and the entire look was completed Maria’s own. Thumbs up!

Uma Thurman in Versace

Uma looks classic and sleek in this Versace gown. I just have to admit – the hair didn’t do much of anything for me.
